First time I start up this version of the game and my opening screens from white wolf and Christoff on the roof don't show up. Loading into the game and the opening scene does not show up. I run win 7/64 on a modern machine for fallout 4 and like games. My rig is well over the specs yet the game cinematics don't show up. This makes me sad I always enjoyed all the cinematics from the start up scene and in game as well.

Any fixes to this or am I stuck with going back to the disc version for the complete experience?

My best guess, based on past experience with the CD version on Windows 7:

Right-click the desktop shortcut (or "vampire.exe" in the game directory), click "Properties", and select the "Compatibility" tab. Check the box for "Disable desktop composition". Click "Apply", then click "OK".

Thanks for the reply but no cinematic. Bought the GoG version and I get none of it but a small 2x4 rectangle in my upper left corner of my screen. Guess it dont work on modern machines.

I'm on a win10/64 "modern" machine and it works fine for me. Open a support ticket. Come back and let us know what the fix was.

How about posting your system specs? It works perfectly fine for me.

I run the game fine except all the in game cinematics. All I get is the 2x4 rectangle in the upper left corner and that is nothing but wavy lines . I hope my setup is not a problem.

Sent a support ticket Alcaray and will wait to see what could be the problem.

Update 6/21 Nothing working as of now. I guess the old games are off limits. I dont understand how others on a new machine can get it to work but it wont on mine. Very frustrated with the whole experience. Big turn off for GoG games sadly.
