Hi all,

It's my very first time playing through this game and I'm at the part of the tutorial where I need to press f1, go to melee, and go beat up some guy.

The problem is, f1 is mapped to windows help and support on my PC, and that keeps popping up every time I press the button, instead of the weapons menu. I think that's the case for all f1-f12 keys for me. How do I fix this? I'm on Windows 7.

Thanks in advance
You should have a key labeled similar to F Lock. Press that once, and it should work afterwards. On my keyboard, it's right after F12.

"scroll lock" maybe?

No, Function Lock. It's so you can use the function keys as shortcut keys as well. On one of my other keyboards shows a picture of a lock and a "FL" within it on the Escape key. Since it's on the Esc key with that particular keyboard, I have to hold the Function key (fn), as well as the Escape key to toggle it on/off.

It's come to my attention that I have WAY too many keyboards here.
You guys were right. I had to disable "autokeys" or "hotkeys," basically function lock, so that the f-keys would just work as f-keys unless I pressed the fn key at the same time.

Had to go into BIOS to do it, but the f-keys function normally now and I got through the tutorial no problems.

Thanks a million.
