Which one? There are two of them. Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. With the announcement of Bloodlines 2, I'm guessing you probably heard of the Bloodlines.

Redemption is the older game, which is an action RPG, similar to Diablo. The storyline is pretty good, and you get to control up to 3 characters (yourself and 2 NPCs). The screen size is a bit small, and the controls can sometimes be a bit frustrating, but the game itself is pretty good.

Bloodlines is an action RPG that uses the Source engine. You start off as a newly turned vampire. The quests at the beginning have multiple ways of completing them, but towards the end it becomes more combat-oriented. Different clans of vampires have different powers and quirks. For example, the Malkavian is somewhat insane, so all his dialogue choices don't really make sense at first, as well as having conversations with inanimate objects. Quite entertaining. There is a person who still works on fixing bugs for the game that is active here, and he still does updates for the game.

Both games are good, and depending on how you advance your character, it can be a cake walk through certain areas. If you're good with spending $20 on a game that's 15 or 19 years old, then go for it. I'd watch a few beginning episodes of a blind LP on either game first to see if it's your type of game. I haven't seen one on Redemption, but Veriax has one on Bloodlines that is blind on YouTube. Watch the first episode or two of them to see if it's your style of game.
