Having made my way through the first section of Christoff's mortal adventure and returned from the mines. I saved my game just before entering the city gates.
Later, I killed the first three revenants and headed into the next area, where I got distracted by the phone and got killed. Irritating right?
I load the previous save, only to find that the revenants are already dead, their corpses still go through the dialogue, but I can't kill them and so can't trigger the next event.
Any thoughts?

Looks like a corrupt save file. You realise what that means. What you can try is loading the autosve (unless you have overwritten it already). The save corruption happens often on some machines apparently - make sure you read through this thread:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/vampire_the_masquerade_redemption/overwriting_save_games
It may not be directly linked to the issue you are having, but there are many compatibility tricks that you should use nonetheless.
If you are interested, I can provide my savefile from Silver Mines 3 (right before the battle with Ahzra).
I'm finding that this happens every time I die; I reload and when I go through whichever quest I was in everything is dead and all treasure is already looted up until the point at which I died.
It's extremely irritating and making me miss out on loads of treasure, making the game much harder to advance through

Hi, I'm having the same issue. Anyone know of a solution?
Same here... makes it impossible to play the game.
I've heard of this before, activision used to say it may have something to do with Indexing service running but chatting with someone else who would know on the subject, he says it may or may not work. Installing others' saved games won't work either. Indexing service is overall an unneeded resource hog anyway, it's probably best you have it disabled regardless. Good luck!
I also have this problem. But I have disabled indexing service years ago and I'm running windows with Administrator rights.
I'm using Windows XP Pro 32 Bit SP3 with all the latest updates. Please help, as it is ner impossible to complete the game with this bug.
Same problem here. I was hoping someone on the forums had the answer... so, no solution for now?

I got it working by enabling Indexing Service for the Vampire folder and it's subfolders. You can do it by right clicking the Vampire folder and click advanced and then mark "Enable Indexing Service for this folder" and when you are asked if you wish to enable it for subfolders as well, you answer yes.
Now you should be able to overwrite savegames (At least in Windows XP)
I'm going to try that solution. Hilariously, the problem is not actually limited only to loaded save-games; I started an entirely new single player game only to discover that all the demons in the Bonn silver mine were already dead.
Which is actually kind of meta, when you think about it. My second play through I'm playing a knight when all those rumors of undead fiends stalking the night really are just empty rumors. My girlfriend, who also wanted to play the game, does not see it this way, however.

Did not help (W7 64bit). I've tried more solutions from the internet, but those who were dead remain dead, and game is broken. Should be rated accordingly.

I've played through at least a dozen times and never had that happen. With so may having the same problem, logic leads me to there has to be something the same in all of your set ups, hardware, software, provider, PC, cards, virus program - something that is causing this. The only thing I can think of is a chat session amongst you to brainstorm - maybe something will jump out that is the same on all of your PCs/laptops.
I've found that if you rename the last modified location file in your save folder it will fix the issue (at least it did for me). Somehow I was loaded back into my Silver Mine 3 save but I had already killed Azarah. I renamed the last modified location file (location28 in this case) to oldlocation28, reloaded my game, and everything was in the level and I was able to defeat her again. After that everything worked.
I''ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the mission is still empty with the exception of Azrah since that's what killed me....
