Has the resolution for the game been upgraded so that the maps(subway, etc.) aren't just fuzzy blurs?

If you're just looking at their in-world texture, it's very blurry. If you get close and hit 'E' (use item), as you would to read a note or something, then they expand and you should see them clearly.
