Hello, everyone, I'm just playing through the GOG Version of this now (up till recently, I had just played it off the CD version from Xplosiv). What immediately struck me was the fact that this version has some bugs that I don't remember the cd version having, the most annoying of which being:
1. After a while in-game, characters armed with ranged weaponry, when taken control of, will not move while the ranged weapon is equipped, rather, they'll shoot at the location I click at as a move order.
2. The Discipline use section of the Options menu seems to be simply useless. It doesn't prevent the other coterie members from using their Disciplines.
Has anyone else ecountered these issues, or can anyone provide a solution? BTW, I'm running the game off a Windows 10 HP ProBook 4540s.
Thanks,
Crypto

Yeah noticed the no. 2 too.
They just don't care about what is set in quick discipline bar and what is not.
I.e. Serena will use Plague Wind or Summon Soul no matter whether they are on her bar or not and won't other things like Shambling Hordes ever.
But are you sure it wasn't in the CD version as well? I find it strange they would introduce such thing later. I have CD as well but I can't test it as it glitches on mewhen I tried to install the never patch that adds pause and saving anywhere.

Not sure about no. 1 as I rarely use ranged weapons but as few as I used them, I didn't notice it at all. Isn't there some kind of click to attack order and aren't you by chance pressing it or have it enabled?

As for solution, unfortunately I can't provide any, but you are not alone in your plight. :-)
Don't remember that being in the CD version. It was a very long time ago, though, so I might be mistaken.

Don't think there's any setting for that, and I had to check the controls for the Disciplines thing. Maybe I'm just dumb and missed it.

I think I figured out the shoot instead of move thing. It happened to me when I alt+tabbed out of game and it went away when I reloeaded teh save. So when it occurs, you should save and reload and it should go away. Alt-tabbing caused this and the picking items issue, taht when you picked item and even if there was free spot in inventory the item stayed in my cursor and I had to place it manually.
It was solved by reloading too.

Addressing #2. It works on my end, however it's buggy. Every time you load a save, you have to go to that menu and confirm it again.
Oh, interesting.
I wish I knew this before I have beaten the game. :-)
Thanks a bunch, guys! I've just finished the game, but the info will be put to good use in future playthroughs!
All the best!
