Hey everyone. Hopefully someone will be able to help me.

I recently got VtM:R here on GoG and I am running in to some issues. While inside salons(Convent, Rave Club, Mansion, etc.,) after about 30 seconds to a minute, my game begins to stutter. After a few seconds of stuttering, it freezes completely and the audio just begins looping quickly. After the freeze, the game returns to normal.

I've been able to force this by rotating the camera and letting it rotate until it eventually freezes. It's almost as if the movement of the camera has something to do with it, though it does happen when the camera is still sometimes.

Oddly enough, it's more frequent in LAN games(especially the Rave Club.) I've yet to play a game with anyone. Since it also occurs in SP, I know it's not an internet issue.

I've read through the forums here but nothing has helped.

I reinstalled, putting the installer in Windows 95 Compatibility Mode, as well as the game itself. I even tried the Firefox trick. Nothing has worked. I even play in Window Mode(I actually prefer WM) but have also tried playing in Full Screen. I've adjusted the graphical settings all the way down and still, no progress.

I even found a torrent of the original 2 Disc version and tried that, but no use.

SYSTEM:

Dell Dimension 4600
Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3
Pentium 4 3GHZ
1 GB RAM
nVidia Geforce 5200 FX

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
