I read in one of the .txt that the mod loader among other things, adds "Widescreen support" and some other things... Can i somehow download it standalone from somewhere? I run through GOG's version of Bloodlines, but i decided to return to the original retail version i have, because:

1) I noticed some area maps have changed, added more detail, changed interior decoration (like bailbond interior), etc.
2) Certain bugs of the vanilla have been corrected and unless they are gamestopping bugs, i like and need them.
3) I noticed some minor changes to dialogues with NPCs and the lines of it.
4) I am a strange, old-timer gamer, puritan but only in games, always infatuated with vanilla, with much weirdness.
5) The retail versions runs just fine, if you exclude the launching error issue and the absence of widescreen support.

All in all, i return to the original! "Legacy" version has many differences from vanilla original and even though it is a good work and praiseworthy mix of of work done on the game (additions, fixes, corrections), for strange old me it certainly is not my thing exactly... So, where can i get the mod loader as a standalone download to install???
Sounds to me like all your memories of the game may be of Version 1.0. GOG sells the game patched up to Version 1.2.

"Legacy" is not an actual thing. It is a made up term that GOG uses to suggest an untouched version 1.2 as opposed to loading the Unofficial Patch Basic mod.
Yes, i know about Legacy, i just use the word so everyone understands what i mean. And no, i always used the 1.2 patch. 1.0 had a crush at the hunters' quest, NO ONE could beat the game at 1.2!

LoL, i even remember as if it was yesterday, that crush upon entering the boat, first play of the game i did in 2005... I almost broke my CDs that very day from frustration and anger... Thankfully i had the idea to check up the internet and saw the patch!

Well if you really want to try making it work on your CD version, copy the "vampire.exe" and BIN folder from the GOG version.
