The most important thing to understand about Nosferatu is the way the game mechanics work with regard to Masquerade violations. The text descriptions make it sound like you'll cause a violation if any normie catches a glimpse of you, but that's not really true.

You can walk around out in the open somewhat freely as long as you don't get too close to any normies walking around the streets. The best way to figure out just how close you can get it to try it out.

There's an important exception: you can talk to all (or almost all) the same NPCs any other vampire can talk to, and you won't cause a violation. For example, you can talk to the bartender in The Asylum or the lady who runs the Surfside Diner, and it won't cause any extra problems.

In fact, you should talk to voiced NPCs, because Nosferatu have a lot of very funny clan-specific dialogue.

As for skills, you're not prohibited from doing anything, but Nosferatu are probably best suited for melee combat - swords, axes, knives. If you invest in Obfuscate and melee you can sneak up behind anyone and kill them without even fighting. The only problem with this is that boss monsters are immune to this strategy, so you'll need a way to deal with them when the time comes.

Nosferatu also have Animalism, but I've never tried investing in that.

Firearms can help a lot. It's somewhat weak early on, but the most powerful weapon skill for the endgame. For the end-end game bosses, you'll want an assault rifle and a flamethrower probably.

You shouldn't have too much trouble until the very late game, but Firearms isn't a waste as a backup weapons skill along the way. There are lots of guns around, and they can be handy regardless of which clan and which combat style you choose.
