I'm running VtM:R on two computers in my house on a wireless LAN. When my roommate and I go into multiplayer, we can chat in the lobby, but when I try to create a new game, the only map I can get to come up is the Dark Ages Inn, and that one loads the opening scene from Leaves of Three minus the opening text. When I try to load any other maps, they either crash the game when I hit Create Game or crash when I hit Start.

Both of the computers run Windows 8, and the game will load all the maps (including the full chronicle Leaves of Three) when I go into multiplayer LAN mode without connecting to another computer.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

So you can't load the multiplayer maps on the computer that will be hosting the game? Can you start a new MP game with only the host computer? I take it the other MP maps that came with the game won't load? If you haven't already tried this, remove any mods and modded maps and try the game completely "vanilla". Also run the game as admin, if you aren't already.
