Hello everyone ! Currently I'm having issues with getting Beckett's quest at the library, I never get that e-mail even after I meet Gary (as a FAQ by Vampiry Lestat says I should), I believe I have Unofficial 9.5, though I'm not sure.

You need to play the plus version of the patch to get this, which is not included in the GOG release!

I thought Lestat wrote that walkthrough like, 15 years ago? Of couse, if he wrote about the library, it'd have to be more recent as (I think), you only added that a few years ago, right? Is this even the same Lestat I wonder? He seemed to disappear as far as I know after he was banned for life from the Plant Vampire site (at least I think he was - long time ago and it's a faint memory).

Yes, but he gave me permission to update it for patch changes, so the one included in the UP is always up-to-date!

Oh lordy, so where do I get this Plus Patch ? And which is the latest version ?

The latest version is 9.7 beta 3 and you can get it from here: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647/7/74109
Still, you need to finish your current game first, as you would need to start a new game with the new patch!

Another question though, is this any different from getting the Gold Edition Patch from Tessmage ? Are there any significant differences ? Will it get me the same cut content from the release ? As in Drug Trip or Night at the Library ?

No. The so called "True Patch" is an very outdated bug-fixes-only patch that was based on one of my earlier patches. It contains no restored content whatsoever as far as I know. Especially no new quests or maps...

Cool. I used to use that walkthrough a lot in the day. I still have a copy of it on file.
