On a windows 10 machine and I can run single player fine. Multiplayer wise the WON internet server is down so that's out and the LAN mode attempts to install DirectPlay which fails with the message:

"The following feature couldn't be installed:
DirectPlay
The function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another transaction.
Error code: 0x80071A90"

Now I'm mainly interested in hosting LAN game so I can play with ST mode and custom scenarios on my own, I don't really need a working LAN connection, just for the game to let me in. I tried installing various Hamachi versions but the game still requires DirectPlay to be installed successfully to work.

Any thoughts on smoothing out the install or spoofing the system so It does not need a connection to get in game?

I just did a little research and it seems to have been an issue for some. It's not a Redemption issue, it's a directplay issue. In some youtube comments, someone suggested disabling antivirus and skype. I assume this is just until it's installed. I'll check back in a day or so to see if you replied with whether it worked or not.
Yup it was Avast anti-virus ... man do I feel dumb :)

Thanks for the help.
