First of all, I wanted to thanks creators of the mods, which are EntenSchreck, Hareishan and wespe5 for still working for the community through all these years. Especially I want to thanks wespe5, for not only bringing to the people fresh mods, but also helping folks in the forums, not only here but also on steam. Dude, you are a real paladin and world will be a better place, if more people will want to act like this :)

Now, let’s get straight to the business – I like the mod, story is quite interesting, but I find some problems and bugs during gameplay. I’m posting this to help others found answer if they ever meet similar problems, and for the devs if they ever want to fix the problems and make the mod even better.

>General
– It is possible to use blood bag and replenish health by doing so.
– You can still choose (but not use) vampiric disciplines using keys.
– During introduction in cave and Oil Rig mission, when in menu and character sheet, music from both menu and level was playing.

>Character creation
– By constantly changing gender and history, you can gain additional “skill points”.
– Brujah, Toreadors and Ventrue have Seduction on 2.
– Instead of the word “academics”, “scholarship” is used in the description of Tremere’s history Old Timer and Malkavian’s Occult Nut.
– Once, when I was stayed in character creation section for longer period, the game crashes and it generated window with this message: “(Engine Error) ED_Alloc: no free edicts”. What does it mean?

>Introduction in cave
– “Item gained: hands”.
– The Bach’s note about La Croix is often missing the last sentence.

>Ash Rivers investigation
– It is possible to jump on the dumpster, then on the wooden fence and get to the untextured area (from which you can’t go back) or jump at the cornice of the building, which is next to the trash container.
– If you will stand behind the women who is speaking about proposal, music from the hotel switch to the street music.

>Oil Rig mission
– Game was crashing, sometimes when I was shooting, sometimes when enemies were shooting me, sometimes when both thing happened at the same time. Shooting gas cylinder from time to time would have similar effect.
– Enemies can shoot and see through the big pipe/pipeline, which is next to the 2 humans standing near first gas cylinder (after the part with one human enemy and locked, exploding zombie).
– Before the section with tzimisce monsters (fatguy and “headclaw”) and 2 sabbat vampires, there is pipeline just next to the corridor made of sheet metal. Both vampires and fatguy can see and shoot through that pipe.
– After I used divine light on the tzimisce fatguy in the cell, the image of cross stayed on the bars for a few seconds. Similar things happen, when I killed the sabbat vampire who is attacking with claw – claws with blue aura were hanging in the air for a while.
– Before the fight with the “boss” (Vozhd), you can kill the female zombie on the left, but male zombie on the right is immortal (it’s not even showing zero dmg, like when attacking Andrei).
– Vozhd is constantly blocking when running after player on the metal staircase. He also likes to throw body parts at the player (no damage from that, I think) when the player is behind some cover.
– When boss appears, you can’t go back normally through the gate leading to the steel staircase, but you can jump down on the platform beneath. That gate stays locked from the other side, even after defeating Tzimisce creation.
– After killing the Vozhd, some zombies stayed on the place and become invulnerable to damage.
– The game will always crash when the player will shoot in the direction of the body that is stretched across crane (both before and after fight with Vozhd) which is above the boss fight area.
– Vampire hunter in long coat, who is standing next to the stairs leading to the helicopter, froze in very unnatural, “surprised” pose.

>Funeral by fire and Interior
This is the part, when sh*t get crazy, because I had like 30 (probably more) crashes here and it required a lot of determination to get through (on the next level the situation went back to normal). Game was crashing all the time – during cutscene, when I was trying to get inside the monastery, when I was walking the corridor, when I was talking with the NPCs. It crashed every few second, even when left alone for few second on the screen of crate content (the one with shotgun ammo). Trying to load saves also often provoked crashes. What’s going on?
Other problems with this chapter:
– I wasn’t able to skip the cutscene. I tried using left mouse button, enter, tab or other keys. Also tried to change controls (from left mouse button to nothing and then back to the mouse 1), but with no success. I was even able to pray during the scene.
– Once, when talking to Joyce after waking up, the screen faded black for a moment, just like the character was blinking or something (similar to the effect used after waking up), and then the burial looked different – the flat pedestal, where the coffins and wood should be, was empty (though fire appeared normally), and there was only a few NPCs, just like after the burial, with Bach next to the cliff, et cetera. Then the camera stops at the cliff, looking toward coast and… nothing happened, cutscene not ending with music looping itself.
– When inside monastery, I wasn’t able to save in other way than using quicksave hotkey, save option in menu was not responding. I couldn’t take the ammo from the box or buy anything from that redbeard hunter or even change item in trade window.
– Hands and feet of that guy also levitate in air, a few centimeters above knees and floor.

>Metro station and bunker mission
– I’m only able to open the electrical panel, can’t do anything else with that.
– When I said to my companions to stay down, they weren’t attacking blood guardian (and vice versa) when he came after me.
– When I got on the box, the blood guardian was only running around it, letting one of the hunters to kill him.

Maybe it is worth mentioning that I have only basic patch. Thanks in advance for any help solving this problems. Cheers! ;)

There are no blood bags in the mod unless you cheat yourself some. If you do, they will work, as Faith and Blood are connected internally!

– You can still choose (but not use) vampiric disciplines using keys.
How do you do that? By using hotkeys already set for disciplines?

– During introduction in cave and Oil Rig mission, when in menu and character sheet, music from both menu and level was playing.
Fixed!

Ah, the classic exploit! In the original game Jack reacts to this, maybe I should add a similar line for Bach ;).

– Brujah, Toreadors and Ventrue have Seduction on 2.
What is the problem there?

Thanks for the info, Scholarship is in fact correct, I will swap it with Academics on the character screen.

It means you did create too many characters, because the game does not remove the not used ones.

This is a fix for a random bug in which you don't get hands and fists, it's in the vanilla game too.

What do you mean by often? This could only happen with different resolutions.

This is a known problem that has already been fixed.

These are not solid models, I'll see if I can make the NPC not see and shoot through them.

That is an unfixeable issue from the vanilla game.

Fixed, in fact they need to be unkillable so they explode instead as weapon against the Vozhd!

The throwing part is intended and also that he can't follow you down the stairs, so you have time to pray.

Hm, they should all have died with him. I'll check this out.

Ah, you probably didn't redefine your keys. In that case the game will take the wrong aliases from vanilla, this will be fixed in the next update.

This is the only sitting animation we got, so unless he sinks into the bed a lot this needs to stay ;).

Blood bag is one of three proofs that tells the player Ash River’s true nature (the others being note from VV and dark artifact – key of alamut from the original game), which can be found in hotel rooms fridge. I don’t know if blood bag gives you some Faith points, the item didn’t stick with me to the Oil Rig level.

How do you do that? By using hotkeys already set for disciplines?
I think so, I managed to do this by pressing on keyboard (not numpad) 3 or 4 (for Auspex), 5 (for Veil of Darkness), 6 (Mass Hallucination), 7,8 (Obfuscate).

Funny, I didn’t know that :D Yeah, something along the lines “You become the very monster you should be fighting against” or something like that ;) But those it mean that this exploit is unfixable?

What is the problem there?
Well, from descriptions of these clans we can’t get that such a bonus exist. Furthermore, bonus to seduction for Brujah is normal?

Strange, I only created like 3 characters and the mod does overwrite the old saves, when I’m choosing new game. Unless you were talking about “characters” meaning letters, signs et cetera?

I get that, but item named “hands” sounds funny, maybe “unarmed” would be better? Like in this WWII mod (I think)?

Ok, I checked it again and sometimes PC will be wounded by Vozhd projectiles, but that is a very rare situation.

…and also that he can't follow you down the stairs, so you have time to pray.
I meant, that he managed to come all the way down on the staircase, but he was stopping from time to time when doing this.

From time to time, zombies are also just falling prone. When attacked, either shot or hit, they stand for a split second and then they are lying again. Not for long though, because after like a second or few they are just standing in place.

By the way – that body over the crane is called “tortured guy”? Because during the mission on Oil Rig I saw a line in console that was saying something like “Player is near TorturedGuy”.

Now the problem got even worse, I can’t leave the monastery and thus start last mission, because the game will always crash at the loading screen... Is that level is in some way unique compared to others levels? Maybe my computer specification would help determining what the problem is?

I meant that, we (both me and blood guardian) were next to the hunters and they didn’t do a thing. The monster also didn't attacked them.

Also, here are some problems that I forget to mention last time or discovered since last message:

–The faith meter is not working in the same way as blood meter in original game. When player is using, for example, faith shield or holy vision, meter is not showing faith being used. It’s only going down when the player is praying.

–When the character wielding katana is praying, sword is going through his head.

–Before the room where you are calling for reinforcements on Oil Rig, there are stairs, by which you are getting from floor below. It is possible to jump on the cornice behind those stairs, bypassing the whole section with Sabbath vampires, headclaws and fatguy. Later the game goes as usually – boss fight, encountering Joyce.

–During the same mission, it is also possible to kill the guy, who is ment to be killed by Joyce. When done so, the game will zoom up to the place where Sabbath vampire should be standing, and then nothing happens. I can go back to the menu, though.

You wrote that some of the things I have mentioned are fixed already, am I assuming correctly that you already have newer version of mod, but it is still to be released? ? I think I have the newest version of mod (downloaded from moddb).

By the way, I have some suggestions and ideas, both for present and future development of mod. I think some of them can be pretty neat. Wanna hear me out?

This is the original werewolf bloodpack and I can't use it from the inventory. Did you do some keyboard trick?

I can't replicate this. It might all come down to you using a config.cfg copied over from the original game...

Yes, this problem is hard-coded, but I added a line for Bach now :)!

Hands is correct as the manipulating physics hands are meant, unarmed are called fists!

I don't know if I can do anything about that. I used the text from the original game.

The Chateau Hotel is part of the plus patch endgame.

No, but the map was just to complex for the engine. I changed some internals and it should be better now!

There is already a sound and the panel text is changed.

This is caused by the wrong config file you are using.

I will test new version, but can you please tell me first, what's the best way to unistall the mod? I can't find it in the games and programs list, so should I just simply throw whole mod folder into the thrash bin? Sorry if this is silly question :P

You can do that, or you can just install the new version on top!
