I eagerly await the day when the hardsuit labs build of the game gets leaked.

Right.

Well that one is very easy to answer: exactly never.

That version will be incomplete, hardly playable, and will be buried deep in the version control system. It was quite a while before it would get any near finalization. We know that a lot of art etc was reused, but the game itself was reimagined when it changed the developing studio.

I'm not aware of any case of such a version having ever been leaked, for any game.

So I absolutely dont get your optimism thats ever going to happen for this game.

An early version of Duke Nukem Forever got leaked long after the game came out and fans are finishing it right now.
Well, good for them then. Since they clearly like this to have happened. I dont expect this to be a too frequent occurence though.

And, as I said before, I have no reason to believe that the version of Bloodlines 2 they worked on was especially good. The interviews have been offputting and the other details I've learned about the game back then havent been good either.

So if you can actually get your hands on that version and make a game out of it, more power to you. But I doubt I would like the end result.

Of course the current version also has its problems, like a fixed name for the main character. I really like finding a good name for my character, in any roleplaying game. Overall the concept sounds better to me though.

The hardsuit labs build was finished and needed a lot of bug fixes to get it ready for release. If the rumors are to be believed, someone from the dev team rubbed one of the paradox's top brass the wrong way and that's the reason why their game got shelved.

The problem is that noone can reliably say whether the sales version is any better or even good at all. The trailers don't show a lot, the pre-sale monetarization is exceptionally awful (Paradox style) and the fact that they place the favourite clans behind a paywall doesn't really convince me buying this game.

I will wait for release (I waited 20 years already) and then probably even longer for a major sale. I don't think I will pay more than 20 EUR for this.Waiting is the only way of resistance we have left...
Well as mentioned before - wait for the reviews before buying.
