Everytime i decide to restart the mission, It just closes the game and goes back to Windows.

Yup - known bug I'm afraid.. if you hit alt-F4 when wanting to restart instead, game will go to main menu, and you can restart that way..

I even got told there were solutions on PC gaming wiki for it, There isn't.

The PC gaming wiki site got updated and it says regarding this issue

-Set Windows compatibility mode to "Windows XP SP2

i've done that and it still happens.

i've done that and it still happens.
For me, the compatibility mode only makes the game crash to a black screen before it even reaches the main menu
I guess for now it's better to just stick to the Alt+F4 method
