Some pals and I have been doing humans vs bots games in private for a while and would be interested in finding some other folks to play with occasionally. In particular I think a GOG community onslaught night could be pretty rad, Fridays maybe? I have fiber internet and I'm on the east coast of the US for what that's worth server hosting-wise. Also if there are any other groups of 4-6 pals who play UT2004 togeths my pals and I would be interested in some friendly competition. We're not pros or anything; we play against Skilled bots when we want to relax or Adept when we want a challenge. (iirc higher than Adept the bots start cheating?) Anyway yeah if you would be interested in either thing go ahead and post? I'll be watching this thread.
I'm totally in, really missing those friendly matches. The servers mostly feature FFA modes and I'm more into team play rather than mindless killing fests, and I'm not really skilled enough to join those anyway. I'm gladly join but those stupid timezones makes it extremely hard to have our freetime at the same time. I would totally love to play Onslaught with not modded UT2004. You see, I'm not native english but I guess that wouldn't be problem. :)

Anyway the higher difficulty settings changes the bots' behavior. They're starting to aim frame-perfectly much like an aimbot hack. This is uncounterable if they're comming with hitscan weapons. The only chance is to abuse their weakness, like forcing them to jump attacking from point blank.
I know well time zone woes; I run a D&D game with one player from Sweden and my best friend is Australian and requires sleep schedule wrangling on my part to keep in touch with, so I think we can probably come to terms.

If we were doing a once a week deal for onslaught we could maybe do Saturday afternoon for the US and evening for GMT? Like starting somewhere between 18:00 and 22:00 GMT depending on people's availability?

That should be OK I guess.
I'd be up for this too!
