Is there any Microsoft xbox 360 gamepad support???
This question / problem has been solved by Stoonerimage
Looks like it has:

although not sure it's already in this version.

tnx man
hope you enjoy it!..
I have a wierd problem.

Demo of the game works just fine with gamepad. There is a calibration menu and everything.

But GOG version does not work with gamepad. Why?

I have had similar problem with Sword of The Stars Game - GOG version ignores existence of a gamepad (I was using JoyToKey). Again, demo allowed use of a gamepad.

EDIT: in this case, Unepic, JotToKey works...

Maybe the GOG version is still an old build, without the gamepad support?

I also used JoyToKey when I played...

Yep, the GOG version is modified to be DRM-free, and removes some features like online challenges and such, that requires a server autentication.

There is a beta version on the Unepic website that has experimental multiplayer and gamepad support... i guess the latter would be integrated also in the GOG release when it's released officially, but in the meantime it can be downloaded and activated using the serial key supplied on your account page (below the installer link, a key starting with 'gog' and some digits).

I've tried it briefly and savegames are compatible between the two versions.

i would say no but that's not the full story.

i tried the following (all without success):
using my ps3 controller without anything - not working
using the ps3 controller with x360ce and a lot of config time - not working
fallback for keyboard mapping (joytokey) - not working

in all cases i switched all kinds of options in windows and in unepic on and off (controller support, run as admin/win xp mode for joytokey) and as mentioned above i tried multiple versions of x360ce to get the dualshock controller wokring as a xbox pad - that worked for mark of the ninja! -- just sad.

i'm not sure if i make use of refund for the first time...

Unepic supports both DirectInput and XInput controllers. It worked fine with my DirectInput-only joystick (although button prompt images are still for the 360). I don't have a PS3 controller to test but I don't see why it wouldn't be working. Did you do the calibration thing in-game? The game sometimes asks for that if it doesn't detect the controller automatically, so doing it manually might help.

If you're using Motioninjoy or Better DS3 you should try XInput Wrapper instead (remove Motioninjoy/Better DS3 first); this makes PS3 controllers show up as real 360 controllers in games, usually without needing x360ce and other workarounds.

I haven't refunded, I'm playing via keyboard – that's the first thing :)

Now for the controller problems: I haven't used and won't use motioninjoy, because IMO it's malware.
I use the driver from hardcoregaming101 (http://blog.hardcoregaming101.net/2011/08/ps3-sixaxis-on-x64-windows-pc.html). Maybe i take a look at BetterDS3

I tried the calibration option a few times, but maybe not in all of the 50 test rounds :)

I think it is a bag of hurt to use a non-MS controller. I like my PS3 controller better and it would be nice to just use it instead of losing a lot of time trying around.

Anyway, thanks for the input.

Better DS3 is based on Motioninjoy. Neither is good. The Tamamy is much older; you should definitely try XInput Wrapper instead.

If XInput Wrapper doesn't work another solution would be to use Xpadder or similar to manually map keyboard keys to the controller.

Note that if the game runs as an administrator (you see a User Account Control prompt at launch) the controller program must also be run as an administrator otherwise it can't interact with the game.

I think I tested the admin-mode for key2joy, but i'll give it another try. and xpadder too. Thanks again.
Hello.

I bought the game and I was a problem. It turns out that I have an xbox controller to play one, and in the demo drop me anywhere is perfect. But when not purchased in the game ... I give calibrate and arrow freezes and does not detect anything.

The demo version is 1.46.7
The purchased version 1.47.1

The truth is I do not know why that happens. See if someone can help me.

Greetings.

Controller support is totally broken in the current version of the game. I'd try contacting GOG support to see if they can give you a link to the previous version.
Where can I download a previous version?
