Hi. Please, does the NPCs own new items for Barter as the game progresses? I'm in the beginning of the game, playing it on hard, and my character need traps or he won't be able to face multiple enemies(too many Rathounds). I know there's craft for Bear Traps, but it still won't supply my needs. How much time it takes to Barter new items so I can buy more traps/metal(to craft traps)? Thanks.

EDIT: oh yeah, there's another problem I found within this game. When enemies are hidden behind walls(just from screen's angle, not behind walls from another room) I can't aim them for hit with the cursor unless I walk away so they will be exposed(expending extra APs and taking hit). Any way to detour that or the devs didn't realized such problem?

There are traps available to buy right at the beginning of the game.

It makes no sense that you'd be able to aim at an enemy who is behind a wall. How do you even know they are there or see them to take aim? This is a tactical game, and such mechanics make absolute sense.

No, mate, you didn't get what I meant.

My traps were gone already, and there's no more to buy. And I'm talking about the walls from the camera's angle, not from separated room, see my attached file(the enemy is in same room as you, but you can't see him!). Sometimes you'll begin a battle, and the enemy may hide behind a wall just like that, and you can't aim him, but the character should recognize the enemy is there because is just right on front of him. That sucks, as you'll have to wait the enemy to come right next to you and you'll get hit.

Ahyes, I misunderstood. Thanks for the picture. I haven't encountered that problem and I'm about 20hrs into the game (on pause, waiting for more updates/patches/content.) I think maybe I just haven't recognized it but it's been like that and I just wait for the mob to come into view, or I figured out how to target them in that position. I'm not sure.

Does tab highlight them?

There are more traps to buy, from Old Jonas, and I think maybe 1 other NPC at the beginning has them too, but I forget.

here's the wiki which is invaluable/you might find helpful

be safe out there~!

I used to buy from him until all of them were gone, but then Old Jonas brought 15 more Bear Traps in my last play. I don't know what has triggered him to bring some more, though. (there's no day time in this game or day/night transition, not for now at least)

I didn't check the enemy with the tab, I'll try it next time some enemy is hidden. The cursor won't highlight/aim at them, anyway.

Thank you for the link, I'll check it.

PS: Oh, I almost forgot. It seems to be some kind of bug, but sometimes my action slots will be empty once I load the game. I hope they release a new patch soon.

your english i a bit broken, but I think I understand what you mean.
At some angles, the player can see the enemy, and the enemy can see the player and the enemy can shoot at the player (clear line of sight), BUT player cannot shoot at the enemy (no clear line of sight).
