Is there some table of information which depth and bait to use for which fish?

Especially the depth is nowhere to be found in the encyclopedia.

Click on the fish on the list to the right.
It should tell you everything you need to know.
I just caught a Bream using it and I never would have without that help.

Che ck out my latest, big catfish and bass...

I've outdone your bass but that catfish is unreal.

I thought I had pulled in some nice catfish, but that makes them look like bait.

Yeah, I figured everyone had probably beaten the bass. Thing is, it doesn't LOOK that big. I mean looking at the picture. It's weird, when I caught it I saw it as I was reeling it in and then the thing came up saying I needed the net and I was like 'what? for that?". It doesn't look like a 20 pound fish. It looks like about 4 to 7 pound fish... tops.

But I wasn't sure about the catfish. I'm sure some have beaten it, but I guessed that one would qualify as a "bug un" on the forums LOL. That thing was FUN to catch though. Took my line out to over 300 feet before I got him settled down and could wind him in. Fun times. And when I saw him reeling in, i knew I was gonna need a net. In fact I was thinking of old classic movie line and was thinking "I'm gonna need a bigger net." lol

Have you grabbed any of the DLCs yet?

Hey, can you switch between normal mode and realistic mode in the middle of a playthrough, or do you need to have 2 different saves?

Also, what are your thoughts on both modes?

You cannot switch profiles.

I first played the normal mode, but then switched to realistic. It is a personal taste, I think.
I don't like too much GUI and in realistic you really have to watch that floater or miss the catch. Colour actual matters against the background and how much weight you put on it, which defines how far it goes under water if the fish bites.

Since I didn't play much normal, sometimes it would be just entertaining, not helpful, to see the fish under water.

Meh, I was going to anyway. I've spent a few thousand dollars on shit I never use. It will be a lot more enjoyable to start fresh and avoid all that.
