I can't wait for this game, Aside from original sin and pillars of eternity this looks like it will be my favorite game this year. it looks like a single player mock mmo, mixed with gothic, mixed with ultima, mixed with a dragon age. But I can't remember, will it sell here or on steam?

(Yes I'm aware it's not Ultima but come on it's got lord British in it and the Avatar)

On KS page they state that backer version will be DRM free but they have not decided the distribution medhod for non backers (both GOG and Steam are mentioned as options thought). They aren't even on Steam Greenlight as far as I can see. Also, as far as I can make out, it's half single player half MMO (if I read right, not all features are available in offline mode, like bying houses) it's bit iffy if GOG would accept it. At least the online mode requires an account too.

It's interesting that they've hired Tracy Hickman, a famous fantasy book author, as lead story designer.

I do remember seeing somewhere that Lord British is considering GOG.com. I would be surprised if he didn't because GOG is keeping his series alive. As for this being Ultima, it is the spiritual successor to Ultima in all but name. Iolo and Dupre (the guys behind the characters) definitely are backing the game, and behind the scenes, LB is "getting the band back together". In short-Portalarium=the real Origin. "Origin-We Created Worlds", but now "Portalarium-We Create Bigger and Better Worlds." Even Chris Roberts is getting involved.
This is more the spiritual successor to Ultima than a certain iPod/iPad only game (still no PC or Android) that carries the name.
Man, I am really looking forward to this game as well. Time to rememorize the rune alphabet that I used to be able to read at the same speed as our normal alphabet.
