I bought Ultima 8 today and installed it. When I go to run the game, DOSBOX opens as is normal and the game launches to a black screen, then seconds later it crashes. I have no idea what to do, I uninstalled and tried redownloading the installer but nothing... Maybe I downloaded a bad installer? I noticed it took alot less [seconds] than it did to install Ultima IV. Any help would be appreciated!

.Well I figured it out. If anyone has the same issue right click the Ultima 8 start menu icon, select run as administrator, problem solved!

I'm having the same problem on Windows 8. I've been playing it for a day, now it always crashes on start up. I tried running as admin, but still crashes
