This might be an odd question. A number of sites say you can add anyone to your party with the cheat menu when you say "spam spam spam humbug" to Iolo, using the "edit party" option, but I'm not seeing any option to do so. It'd be nice to be able to travel with Geoffrey since he was a core party member in IV (and also recruitable in V).

Is this just a rumor that's spread to several websites or is there something I'm missing?
I've seen an old screenshot playthrough that added odd characters to the party at times, but it may have been done with hex editing or some other method.

I am not aware of any cheat code that let's you actually add an NPC to your party.

What you could do is to use the cheats menu to create a shrine (item #393) and put the number of the NPC you want as "quality" Alas, Quality 7 will make the shrine behave like Geoffrey, but I doubt, that this is what you want.

As Geoffrey has no usecode to join you in U VI, adding him will do no good, even if you come up with a cheat for him.

As for all other POSSIBLE party members: my suggestion would be to use the teleportation cheat to go where the party member in spe resides and add him/her the "old-fashioned" way.

Thanks for your reply. It was really just Geoffrey I was thinking about since he was one of the eight I used in four (I'd forgotten Mariah wasn't recruitable in VI either).

I stumbled upon Nuvie yesterday though, which actually does have a "anyone joins if you ask" option, but since Geoffrey instantly ends conversations he's (unfortunately) still out.
