I decided to start over this game so I could have a fresh beginning (that and the fact I haven't played this in months so I most likely would not remember my progress). I boot up the game and as soon as I start the initial scene I immediately realize something is off. The words kept running off the edge of the screen and I could not read a good chunk of the ends of the words. Then I got to the tarot cards sequence, and it got worse. I could not see the full question, and when I did I could only see one answer but not the other. I had to stop at the third question because I could not see the answers so I would not know what I was answering. I then went to the current file I had loaded to see how bad this problem was, and the half of the right side of the screen was running off the monitor. I could not see my HP nor could I see the actions I performed.

The problem is that the window for the game is too large for my monitor. Does anyone know how to fix this? I know I have to shrink the resolution somehow but I just don't know how. Also, when I played the game originally I don't recall having problems like this.

It might help to tell us your platform, windows/fullscreen, resolution of display, version of the install, etc.

I have win mac & linux here, and could certainly try to reproduce but with the current info, it isn't going to happen.

Sorry about that. My platform is Windows 8 64-bit and the resolution is 1680x1050. As for the install, all I can say is that I got it for free back in September 2013. As far as I'm aware, there is not any option ingame to change the resolution (I think it's far too old for that).
Actually, for some reason, the screen has corrected itself. I didn't do anything, but now the screen is fixed. I remember this happening before when I played Duke Nukem 3D. It's so weird.
