I can't even get the game to run, it just throws up that message.

I am using Windows 7 32 bit

Any help would be much appreciated.

try again using administrator rights, it may work. I have the same kind of problem, linked with my last savgames. If only I can find where are the savgames now, i could suppress it. Maybe you have the same problem than me? Very good game though, still love it
