As i mentioned, My copy of ultima 8 gold crashes when i select either english or german, but it runs perfect when selecting french from the menu. Attached is the error it gives me:

I tried verify/repair, reinstalling, rebooting, reinstalling on C... and freshly ran out of ideas.
I'm running an Intel Core i7-3632QM @ 2.20 GHz. 8 GB ram, Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 64-bit and my graphics card is an intel HD graphics 4000. all drivers are up to date afaik.

I might add that you also have to disable Sync local saves with GOG galaxy cloud, on the configuration for this to work
