Just moved all the files I could find over from my Windows Exult version onto my Mac.

I have Ultima 7 running under Exult on my Mac but I have one question.

What is the same file called and where is stored within Windows, becuase even though as I say I have moved over all the game files I could find, it is not seeing the save game file and wants me to start again :(
Windows save game locations are explained in this link.

Yes I have read and read that.

C:\Users\Dominus\AppData\Local\Exult\blackgate\exult00bg.sav

For Serpent Isle to C:\Users\Dominus\AppData\Local\Exult\serpentisle\exult00si.sav.

I have no AppData folder where the above lines describe.

I am running Windows 7.

Try opening a Windows Explorer window and typing %AppData% into the location. That should take you to "Roaming". Then all you have to do is go up one level to find "Local". My guess is that you have hidden folders set to not display.
You should also have been able to follow this part of the guide to get to the Exult folder that contains the game save subfolders.

on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7 you can quickly access this folder by executing "shell:Local AppData\Exult" in the "Run" entry of the Startmenu (or the "Run or Search" entry of the Windows Vista and 7 Startmenu).

Then you could copy the blackgate, forgeofvirtue, serpentisle, and/or silverseed folder that have saves to the OSX location

OK, I found the files but WIndows 7 being the pile of **** that it is will not let me move the the files, keeps telling me I need Admin rights when I am Admin. I tried a little program called take ownership to no avail, oh well.
Can you copy the files instead of moving them?

Copy and paste is what I trying to do from the WIndows side.

I sorted it from the Mac OS side, found the save files on the Bootcamp/WIndows partiton via File Find on the Mac then just copied them over with no problems, thanks for the help with this.

All OK now :)
