Hi,

I have a macbook pro OSX 10.7.5

I installed Ultima 7, opened the game, and started playing the black gate. Everything starts normally, although the character stutters every so often when he walks. The controls feel a little unresponsive at times, actually, but I'm guessing that might be a normal part of the game being so old?

What is really bothering me is the sound. I can play the game with no sound issues for about 3-5 minutes, when it will suddenly go quiet, then a series of clicks (like wind chimes) and a kind of whooshing noise (like waves crashing) starts up. It sounds like it is playing the wrong soundtrack. No actual music is playing.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this or how I might be able to fix it?

Please keep in mind that I am not very tech savvy.
