The seer recommends that I meditate for three cycles for all of my virtues, and I have all of the runes and every mantra except humility.

However, I get "thou art unable to focus thy thoughts on this subject" every time I try to meditate. I checked the latitudes and longitudes of each shrine to make sure it was for the virtue I thought it was for. It spits me back out into the world with this message as soon as I put in what virtue I'm meditating for.

One possibility is that I meditated at a lot of the shrines as soon as I could, before Hawkwind told me to seek elevation and meditate. Can I not go back? Am I fucked? Will I never get to be an avatar?

EDIT: there is a very similar thread from a few months ago, but that guy had his shrines mixed up, so I don't think we're having the same issue.

You will get this messages when you have the wrong virtue all together or spelled it wrong. I found that the entire name has to be entered.
You will also get this message if the wrong mantra is used.

When i played you can visit shrines whenever. You should go to shrines to mediate each of the different durations to get clues/hints on how to play. Once you are part avatar in a virtue you have to go back to that shrine and mediate to become avatar in that virtue. (Note you can regress in a virtue, if you do you will need to build your virtue back up and then revisit the shrine once again)

If you mediate at a shrine and you try right after it will tell you that you need to rest before trying again.
Well, turns out my problem was I just put in the first four letters of each virtue instead of the whole thing. Seems pretty weird that four letters are just fine everywhere else. Thanks a lot!
