For no aparent reason while I am playing the game the colors will change severely bluish and then after awhile the game will just crash. Is there a setting i can fix or what do i do

Is this due to daytime ending and nighttime starting? Do you see lots of NPCs running around lighting candles?

The crashing sounds like a big issue though - are you using Exult to play the game? If not, I'd recommend trying that out as many people find it a much improved game experience.

Just go here and click the link for the "Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista/7/8 binary snapshot" (I assume you're using Windows):
http://exult.sourceforge.net/download.php

Then install and run it
