I have the solution (double checked it) and know the right combination to throw the levers, but when I do, nothing happens.

When I first entered the room, I did not realize where I was. Some of the switches were up and others down. Me being a bit OCD corrected that little problem and now I wonder if I didn't royally screw myself.

Now when I go from switch to switch, either all up or all down, nothing happens.

Any help?

Strangely enough I am also stuck here. I can remember reading many years ago about how going into the middle of that room (which you are warned against) can result in the levers not working, but I've never encountered this issue until now. And I've replayed both Underworld games more times than I can remember.
I got passed it.

All you need to do it to start the sequence again but be sure to keep as close to the walls as possible. The code that disables the sequence appears to be stimulated by a entering within a certain proximity to the centre pedestal before the four levers are switched in the correct order.
Thanks Twisty, I'll try it ASAP!

You have no idea how many times I've tried doing it but maybe I didn't stick as close to the walls as I could have...

**UPDATE**

Got it! Thanks man, I thought the warning to stay out of the middle was for some kind of trap that would go off if you rushed in to get the ring or something...

One has to flip the levers in the following order: northwest, southeast, northeast and southwest. But the northwestern lever is already flipped, when one enters the room, so leave that one alone. And be careful to hug the walls as closely as possible or the ring won't appear.

turn off all lights remove all weapon and armor stay on rooms perimeter . starting position of sw lever is up rest are down. pull levers in this order NW , SE , NE , SW.
Im also stuck in this part , once i enter in the middle of the room it means that the ring will not appear ever and cant try again without touching the center?, if is true then il have to start the game all over?, even worst i saved the game in this room so i think that im screwed(sorry for my english)
woops sorry my bad y dint even reset the puzzle XD
This one is vexing me too. I have tried using the keyboard to hug the walls as close as I can. What am I missing? Do I need to reset the puzzle somehow? If so, how do you do that. I swear I have waled around that room 12+ times.

Thanks for the post twisty, I got it passed thanks to your comment. It works a treat!, to reset the room, just walk off it and enter again, staying off the center until you've pulled up all levers on the correct order.
