Game: Ultima VII

So I've tried consulting the README files a dozen of times (which are also inconsistent with the actual files btw) with how to set up my sound, but no matter what it won't work. The sound is still not MT-32 quality. The in-game menu offers a plenty of options and even "fake" or emulated mt32, but nothing works. The sounds are still very mediocre.

I've looked up how the sounds should sound on youtube as well.

Anyone have a complete instruction with how to get this mess to work? Or should I just boot up the game in Dosbox and emulate the sound with Munt?

According to one of the replies in this post (https://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/ultima_7_1/page2), you're always going to have some issues with sounds with Exult since it's a different Engine and they were able to emulate most, but not all sounds.

If you want all of the "pure" sounds without any mistakes, then yes, DosBox and emulated MUNT is the way to go.
