I know you can find it online, but any reason we don't have it as part of the extras on GOG?

Good question, at least in some versions of the game (the first printing or something like that) there was a cloth map in the box. The only reason I could think of was that you really do not need a map since Ultima VII since then there were in-game maps with enough resolution to make the cloth map optional. But it is strange that there seem to be no scans of the U9 map, even the High-Resolution Ultima Map Project does not have one.
I looked around my old Ultima files from back in 2006 when I went Ultima crazy and downloaded a bunch of things, and I have this rather low-res scan (771x768) lying around of the Ultima 9 map. I'll dig around a bit to see if I can find something with a bit higher quality. Strange that GOG does not provide that.

Edit: Sorry I misread your post, I thought you were looking for a scan of it. Still I don't have any idea why GOG left out the map from the U9 extras-

I actually have the original cloth map still, just was wondering why its not in the package.
