I responded to your other thread but I'll respond here too.
First, uninstall Exult and Ultima VII.
Reinstall U7, and then Exult without installing Exult into the U7 folder. You shouldn't need admin unless you try to install Exult to Program Files or something. I suggest C:\Exult to avoid admin issues (or turn off UAC as it's worthless anyway and always has been).
Once that's all done, let me/us know if you have any further issues.

Yes, I know UAC prevents malicious programs from changing important files and registry entries on your computer. The fact of the matter is: most people simply click "yes" to everything. It's therefore just as dangerous (if not more so) to have it running, than to simply install the appropriate anti-virus/anti-ad-ware/anti-spy-ware/anti-trojan software and run your computer responsibly.

I have no intention to fiddle with UAC...hell I'm not even sure how. But I will try installing it to were it defualts to.
