*I've just started an Exult U7 romp and I'm wondering if there are any tips anyone familiar with it might think worthwhile to pass on...(I love the graphics options)

*And U8....I dimly recall many years ago buying the game when it was new and then being unhappy with it for some reason(s) I can no longer recall....*was* there something strange or offbeat about U8? Thanks!

Don't pay to train dexterity, you'll get a follower that does it for free.

U8 had kind of an interesting setting, but it was obviously rushed and incomplete. It was almost unplayable at time of release until they patched it. There's also a lot of time spent running through drab, underground tunnels to get anywhere. It's a jarring difference when you just came off of Serpent Isle.

Good tip, thanks! I think what I meant to say (but didn't say) is that I'd appreciate any Exult tips for U7. So far I love what Exult does for the graphics! Now that you mention it I do indeed remember all those tunnels and I think that's what put me off of the original game. Thanks. Maybe later after I replay U4 and U7 Exult I'll give it another shot.

Ah, I see what you mean. I've played through Exult twice and in my experience it's very close to vanilla. You're graphics and UI will be better but there isn't much that changed with the gameplay
