In special editions of Ultima 6 there was a special cassett tape which had a Richard Garriott talking about the history of the series and how he came to make games and create the series and so on.
While it has nothing that couldn't be found via a Google search now or watching something like Warren Spector's interview with Richard and so on but it's still a interesting listen.
Anyway I found a site that had converted the tape to MP3's
