I am in a rescue mission where I need to go in to a ship or base and there are green teleport pads and I get deeper in to the ship by going from one pad on the lower level to another on the same level but behind a wall then port up one level and find the lost civilian and come back the same way but the last portal does not send me to the starting portal so I am stumped. There are other portals in the ship but they don't go any where either.
Any one remember this as a puzzle or is the game glitched?

Sorry in aftershock it is in a province in Spain though I guess where does not matter as it all seems to be random.

How do you know other portals go nowhere, if you are stuck and can't try them?

It must have been a glitch as I restarted from a previous save and when I redid this mission the teleport portals were linked. Entering one took me to another portal either on the same level or to one above or below. Where I was getting stuck was it would let me go from A to B on level 1 but when I retraced my route back to the entry it would not let me go from B to A. I thought it might be a puzzle where there were only 1 way portals.

Maybe some mutant/alien followed you and reached portal A, blocking your way, so you had to wait and try many times to teleport from B to A (hoping for the mob go out from portal B, then you'll had to fight just on arrival).

I figured out the problem was that not every portal will transport you if you are exactly in the center. If you do not port at first try moving around the center spot and eventually you will hit the sweet spot and ZIP off you go to the next portal.
