It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

EDIT: This method works for UFO: Aftermath also, follow exactly the same procedures except perform it on the UFO:AM shortcut instead of UFO:AS and all should be fine.
I always ran Aftershock in windowed mode but did not notice a thread here on the subject, decided to post it as it makes the game much less crashy for me.
Make a shortcut or use the one made by the GOG installer, and go into the properties menu of that shortcut. On the line that says target you get something that looks a bit like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\UFO Aftershock\UFO.exe" --options multisample=4 anisotropy=8 loadall=FALSE video_caption=TRUE
Now it will more or less look like the above line depending on the exact options you chose, but you get the drift. At the end of that make sure there is one space after the last character/letter and then past the following: --option fullscreen=FALSE
My line then looks like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\UFO Aftershock\UFO.exe" --options multisample=4 anisotropy=8 loadall=FALSE video_caption=TRUE --option fullscreen=FALSE
Now you're in windowed mode. There is a glitch/annoyance in windowed mode though, usually you would push the mouse to the edge of the screen to move the camera up/down/left/right, but with windowed mode now your mouse goes off the screen and doesn't move the camera anymore. In Aftershock I always keep my left thumb on the spacebar to pause anytime I get into trouble or situation in-game, and my right hand is on the mouse so the default controls of the arrow keys moving the camera doesn't work. Instead I use the FPS-styled solution, and use WASD as my camera move keys which works perfectly because I can also hit spacebar and 1-7 number keys to select my soldiers without moving my left hand, and in fact this methods feels natural and I scroll without thinking. W is set to Wait and A for Attack by default, make sure to disable those original bindings or else you will kill yourself by either shooting each other or hitting wait each time you move the camera and getting shot at by the enemy.
Comments/tweaks/better ideas welcome, I got no copyright on the idea so tell your buddies and have fun on Aftershock.
