Dariota: Thank you so much for sharing this work of yours! I will definitely try it in the next few days!

I wanted to ask you, what is the difference between Tzar Burden of the Crow and Tzar Excalibur and King Arthur?
I am Italian, and I have the second game, still in its original box with CD.
If I understood correctly, they are the same game, but the King Arthur version is the Italian version dubbed in Italian with some exclusive campaigns that you then put in this patch of yours?

Would it be possible to use your CRT filter and the music audio CD also with the Italian version of the game?
And one last thing, does this gog version have some graphic improvements or HD patches for full HD resolution that can also be applied to the original Italian game? I bought this game present on Gog, but I would like to use any HD patches on my original game

sorry for all the questions, I would like to be able to play Tzar again after so many years, using my original CD since it was all in Italian

castanhojfc: Thank you for reaching out! Your questions are welcome. Let me see if I can answer them:

1 - Yes, you are correct. This patch brings all campaigns released in Italy and Spain translated to English to the English version. Tzar the burden of the crown is the original game with only the original campaign with the same name.

2 - Yes, take a look at the software I used to make this a reality. They can be used in other games too. Visit the links(repositories) I shared, there should be instructions there!

3 - No HD patch included. The reason why I decided not to include it was that I think it's not that good. The game wasn't made for those resolutions and it does not work very well for me. You can try and apply it on top though, it's your choice! I also think it makes the experience less authentic!

I hope I've helped!

PS: I've made this for the English version, I think you are already aware that it may not work for the Italian version. But you can install the patch to a random location and see what files are there. Maybe it works out of the box! Let us know.
hi, thank you for answering me, yes I installed your patch and then I checked the various files, they also work for my Italian cd version! I simply had to not insert some files/folders

I just wanted to ask you a couple of things: I noticed that there is no way to adjust the volume of the audio cd music from the game settings, is there perhaps an .ini file that can be modified? because I played a bit, and the volume is really high, it covers everything else

and then: could you try to insert an optional option for those who want hd and fullscreen? I tried to use 3 tools from moddb, but they are all obsolete, they do not work on windows 11
p.s.
one last question about your patch: I left the Italian campaigns that I already have inside my game CD, so I deleted the ones from the patch.

As for the other folders and files, I inserted everything. I was just wondering what the following files were for in the "xtras" folder: text asset, textxtra, font xtra. Are they perhaps the text files of the various writings during the campaign?

and the DirectMediaXtra.x32 file? What is it for? In my installation folder of the Italian game I have MpegAdvance.x32

Hey it's been awhile, I don't recall exactly but those files were carried over from the gold edition. If I am not mistaken, they are used to play the extra video before the original FMVs are shown.

Yes you can adjust the CD emulation audio. It's one of the config files installed by the patch, currently I am not at home and I don't recall the name.

Thanks for the other suggestion.

I think it's winmm.ini

I'm reading your links and first thread of the patch

I also figured out how to use cnc ddraw to get full screen
