When I try to start a random map ( skirmish ), during the loading to start the game, I get a lot of error messages with missing IMAGES files, such as water_cliff and skeleton.
I tried to reinstall, still the same issue.
What's wrong?

It's strange... on which terrain type does it happen? (desert, grassland, winter, summer). Then try to check [game directory]\IMAGES\TERRAIN\[terrain type]\SCENERY if you have those files. Perhaps they are read only or something?

You can also try to install the game somewhere else, avoiding system folders like program files.

Or perhaps try to download the installer once again.


PS I've checked every type of terrain in my game and everything works fine

I checked the IMAGES folder, IMAGES/TERRAIN/COMMON
The files that the loader said was missing is there, weirdly.

The loader is looking for the files with a .bmp ending, whilst all the files in the folder have a .rle ending

I've installed the game where I install all my other GoG-games. External harddrive. All the other games works fine from there.

I have Tzar on physical disc, maybe I should play it from there instead.
