Hello guys,
bought this game on GOG but it crashes after circa two minutes of playing. When I run it again, it does so even sooner!
I have no idea what to do. Will some patch help? I tried one and it didn't.

Same, here, as soon as I start any scrimish in 3-5 mins game just crashes with "Stopped responding window" and only thing you can click is close, also after cash had happened it makes my pc retain resolution of the game until I change it. Also tried few different patches and versions,

Weird thing is tho, I remember playing it not too long ago and it was running fine. Im planning on trying running on VM, see if that would bypass whatever it is that is crashing the game.

Everything was fine for me as well.
Was playing the game a bunch. Then next day, BOOM, crashes like 3-5min. in.
Did they quietly update (break) the game?

UPDATE!

So there is a "Log" folder but it doesn't show much useful.
It has a screenshot taken at the time of the crash. I noticed the settings I had didn't match the settings it was reporting I had enabled. I also noticed how I was always running in Compatibility mode and when I ran setup again, it was on Maximum Performance so I set it back.

These didn't work.

HERE IS WHAT WORKED:
Separately, I *totally forgot* I originally installed the game directly before using GoG Galaxy.
So I went to THAT install/version of the game and 9min. no issues. (update2: just completed an epic random map, no issues)
Based on this, it sounds like the issue is with the GoG Galaxy install/version.
I tried the verify/repair but that didn't work.

MY RECOMMENDATION: is to *install the game directly* which will be in your normal GOG Games folder and play that one instead of the "GoG Galaxy" install.

ALSO (update3): launch the game .exe from the folder directly (or use a shortcut to it), seems to be much reliable.
Haven't had the 2min. in crash ever since.

UPDATE 4: the issue came back and for months I couldn't find a solution after a bunch of research, testing, and plethora of other things. Seems the game is broken. Bummer.

Maybe do full uninstall and clean registry and try again? Bummer.
