I'm flabbergasted----for all the hours back in the day beating the game with every ship/mode as applicable----I NEVER heard of those last 3 ships near the top of the list. I can't see how I could've missed them, but somehow I apparently did.

Unfinished business...

The pretzel van is from a cancelled game, the other two, just are fun.

Thank you for this list. I remember playing this game a lot, and had forgotten all but "enemy" code.
After doing a lot of testing, the actual correct method to get Lord of Game difficulty is to hold down D+R+O+L (LORD spelled backwards) while selecting Suicide or Impossible difficulty.

There is also a 1/6 chance, according to a website that I've now forgotten the location of, that your ship and its weapons will be replaced by the SuperCarrot and the Banana weapons every time you complete Episode 5. This has happened to me twice in Story Mode and once in Arcade Mode, so I know it exists.
Tyrian in my own mind is quite possibly the funnest scrolling space shooter ever conceived of... I clocked that game multiple times, 10+ atleast, back in the day when it was king, and even now it still impresses me... The cheats i did end up using at some stage, but honestly i think that this is one game where the usage of cheats didnt totally nullify the fun factor of playing the game, and in some cases actually enhanced it... Love the carrot ship, got that so often... also the little scorched earth mini game that you can activate from the main tyrian menu was a great fun little thing :) think the menu code to activate it is DESTRUCT, but could be wrong... All in all this game has always been in the back of my mind ever since i first played it :) Kinda wish theyd release a version that held HD images to work on my 1920 x 1200 screen but meh, love the game to bits as it is anyway :)
I'm able to get Impossible difficulty, but Suicide and Lord of the Game aren't activating after that. I'm running this on Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

I normally dont bother activating LORD. But ive never had problems with Suicide before... odd, Im 64 bit vista, so who knows if there is a difference
How do I get the 1,000,000? I know it is Tyrian.exe LOOT■, but where can I edit the CFG file?

nice thanks mate
"ENGAGE" is my favourite on. It gives you a ship with heaps of hidden combo moves, on a very high difficulty level.

At first I thought you'd missed that one, and a couple of others. But now I see that it's just in an order I'm not use to seeing them. (I always wrote them down in the order that they are unlocked in.)

There are more details here at gamefaqs.

Is there a reason that invincibility isn't working for me?
