I have a strange problem with this one. There is no save game option in the 'options' menu or anywhere else. There should be one according to the instruction.

If you are playing the full campaing you can save.
If you are playing arcade you cannot save the game.

You can save in arcade mode. When you are on menu press Alt+S to save and Alt+L to load game.
