Tyranny has only three paid DLCs. Bastard's Wound adds a new location along with a quite generic dungeon, some companion quests and an optional ending for the whole game. Tales of the Tiers is better as it adds new encounters on the world map. The third one is only a portrait pack. I'd recommend playing the game with all DLCs, but neither is crucial. You can easily play without them. As for bugs in the DLCs, during my playthrough I didn't encounter any of them.
