Bought&installed velvet edition, does not run. ATI card. Shows intro logo and crashes.

These days I'm long into Two Worlds 2, and the same had happened to me, at the first launch, while I’ve got an NVIDIA card. Searching for a solution, I installed PhysX System Software, and it worked. It prevented the crash at startup. Some say that it must be installed regardless of the make of the graphics card. Try it!

It works if you sign into your GoG website, download and install the manual installers and it will work without using Galaxy.
It will show in Galaxy afterwards ,anyway, so try launching it from there -it may or may not work. Mine does
