Am I the only one missing the "Network" tab in the settings screen?
I should have this: http://i47.tinypic.com/2yxekg0.jpg
Instead I have this: http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/97793547-4.jpg

There is a hotfix for network tab problem here :)

Will this fix be integrated into the main installer later on?

Some have posted in another thread that the hotfix puts back in the DRM with activations and such. Is this true?

Unfortunately it is, I am sure it is a mistake by gog but right now if you use that hotfix, then you will have to activate to play the game. You will also NEED the multiplayer key to even access the game. Though obviously you have some doubts about the legitimacy of my claims (I was the one who started the other thread), so I will just warn you to try at your own risk.
I have the same problem as Sera.

Thanks for the info Sera, but it wasn't really that I had doubts about your claims, it was a case of me replying to a GOG staff member to see if they are aware of this and whether they will give a reply as to what they will do to correct this.
I've not yet purchased this game but it is on my "watch-list". I don't buy games when they first get released on GOG as I tend to wait until I've read some of the support threads on the forums.
I just recently bought Two Worlds from GOG and they sent me the hotfix as well.
I have not installed the hotfix and I am unable to join other games online.
My question is;
Is the fact you will have to activate the game and then use the serial key a real big problem?
I mean if all I have to do is activate and put the serial in once then I will install the hotfix.
I really only bought the game to play with others online.
thanks

It isn't a big deal if it works. However in the past the activation has been very iffy, just browsing the official forum had lots of people complaining about not being able to activate. Activations can also be lost periodically and that can cause a huge amount of problems.
DRM can also slow down the game AND cause problems on you system (though I am not familiar with what form Two Worlds uses so these might not be a problem).
The final problem with DRM is that when the activations server gets shut down then you can't play your game. Fortunately you have a DRM free copy from gog so you don't have to worry about this. In addition the multiplayer server will probably be shut down before the activation server, so this is even less of a concern if all you want is multi.
Thanks for the informative reply sera.

same also....yeah its a bit of a bummer, we are a couple of guys who picked it up for the multiplayer, now we just have to sit and wait for our keys for a couple of days...doh... why not just include the key in your info about the game, like steam or impulse or direct2drive or anyone else sane.

Other than this GOG service has been good, but this is atrocius..... the game is good enough for me to have bothered trawling thru the GOG interface and the forums for a solution, but its not what i´d like to have spent an hour and a half doing.

Thumbs down to GOG for this release.
I hardly consider this issue "Solved" before GOG decide to include the multiplayer key at the point of purchase.

I haven't personally tried it, but judging by the rants posted by various people, you need to contact GOG support and request a key. It may take a few days.
Is this still a problem?

P.S. Sorry for the necro lol :/

I'm not seeing this problem at my end. It's not clear what the cause is but doesn't seem to have been very common (what with a mere two pages of comments).
OK folks. I bought this for the multiplayer content but I have no serial or activation key. Where is it?

Tried to create an account and all I got was an invalid key message and not allowed to create the account. Where from here?
