I have been reading that Two Worlds is the worst RPG made, is this true? Is it worth the price or if you found it at a even lower price would it still be worth it? Thanks!

Most people here will say "no, it's not that bad". It was really buggy on release but the bugs were all (eventually) fixed and the version sold on GOG is quite stable. I found it to be a fun RPG, not a classic but certainly not bad. I'd say it's worth it for the GOG price.

There can be a few weird things when installing it. It requires some PhysX legacy drivers (check the forums here for links to those) and the lip-synch got messed up in the last official patch. Fortunately the lip-synch can be fixed by replacing a certain file. There's a thread here for that too.

Well, I think that buying Two Worlds *2* and the add-on PotFF--the Gog.com version as mentioned is the one to buy--is buying one of the best RPGs of the last few years. The first Two Worlds Game (TW1) at this time isn't directly comparable, imo. (I think the first one is entertaining, but I'd played through it prior to TW2 being released.)

TW2 is just as "epic" if not more than epic, than Skyrim, but the tone and tenor of the two games are poles apart. TW2 is bright and colorful with much in-game environment variety, and TW2 is also very humorous at times with out-of-the-blue deadpan humor that had me belly laughing more than once! Skyrim is one of my favorite games, but atmospherically speaking, compared to TW2 Skyrim is a funeral dirge...;) Skyrim is very serious about itself--TW2 is not.

TW2 & PotFF are RPGs that you do not want to miss, imo. Along with Skyrim, of course!

I heard and read bad things about it and bought it on a whim when it was on sale here. I don't know how many hours I've put into it, but it's a lot and I found it to be quite a lot of fun and far better than reviews would lead you to believe. It's not the greatest open world RPG you'll ever play, but it's a damned sight better than many others out there. IMO, this patched version is much better than people give it credit for. Well worth picking up, as far as I'm concerned.
Speaking personally, I like the first one (not played the second). The voice acting is probably the worst thing about the game, tbh. The combat, magic system and skill system are pretty good and there's a massive world to explore as well. I've enjoyed it just as much as Oblivion - perhaps more, to be honest.

I had played the second game on the PS3 first (the original wasn't available on the PS3) and enjoyed it. On a whim, I grabbed the first game from here in spite of the "bad" reviews I'd seen. I have to say, I love this game. The first time the hero opened his mouth, my wife and I burst out laughing at the wooden acting and his anachronistic pseudo-Shakespearian dialog. Combat is button mashing at its finest, and the loot is varied.

Interesting to me are the various shrines and teleporters dotting the landscape - even out in the middle of nowhere. I rarely need to use potions as most monster mobs can be lured to a magic or health shrine. As long as the monsters can't one-shot you, you can sit there and wail on them all day without fear. Just last night I took out a Stone Dragon with a poisoned weapon while standing next to a health shrine. The dragon couldn't hit me fast enough to overcome the shrine's healing, and while I couldn't damage the dragon with my weapon, the poison eventually killed it.

The landscapes are varied, the weather effects are pretty nice, the graphics for the most part are great (some character and monster models are sometimes weird looking), and the music is pretty good. I ended up getting the second game here as well to have the complete set. Overall, I think I like the second game a little better, but I'm on my second playthrough of the first and having just as much fun as the first time around.

Any links to these posts? I found the lip-sync post, but I'm not sure where to find the PhysX post.

Install the NVIDIA PhysX Legacy System Software. This is what's needed for Two Worlds and a few other older PhysX games.

The Two Worlds installer will prompt for an Ageia PhysX version which can be cancelled to continue installing the game normally.

This worked for me, thank you.
