I have enjoyed parts of this game, but I will say I'm really not enjoying the design of the final boss fight.

Multi-stage with no saves
Fire resistance seems to do nothing at all ...against fire
Maybe it's just my mouse, but aiming is a bit persnickity.

Apparently the ez-mode version works if you've collected just the right mix of defensive spells to reduce damage + convert damage to reduce mana instead of health.

Alas...the game was so easy for the first zillion hours that I never bought any defensive spell mods, and I apparently only had one drop.

Sigh. I had (boss) down to 8% health before erring in going for the kill because I was tired after like 30 minutes of running around and healing and dodging after 7-8 previous attempts. Not fun, just annoying.

I dunno, I'll probably still try to beat it, but even though I like a lot of aspects of this game (I really enjoyed chapter 1), I can see some of the reasons why people don't like it overall or thought #1 was better.

I used arrows and a golam to keep him busy. Didn't take long at all. I'm assuming you meant the giant demon thing. Gandohar was like, slash, slash, dead.

Oh, sorry - no I'm talking about TW2, the gimmicky dragon fight with the 4 towers and the golems.

I was way overleveled in TW1 from exploring/questing and had a ton of the permanent bonuses from alchemy, so the last few fights were really easy.
And after whining about it, I just sucked it up and methodically worked through it in about 20-25 min.

It wasn't fun, but it was easier when I wasn't pissed off or feeling time pressure to wrap it up before bedtime. I hit more shots and walked away when they weren't there.

I just started chapter II so I didn't recognize the description. I have, however, experienced coming back post frustration and doing much better - even in real life with a SUV stuck in the snow. :)
