I had a few problems playing it at the start but I was able to get a patch from Night Dive Studios and that fixed the problem.
Problems aside I am really happy with it, see it for yourself in a video I made above!
Ouch.

Well, the video is good, but it made me notice some glaring issues.

I mean, the head bobbing when you just turn your mouse is INSANE and makes me nauseous. There has not been a single FPS in existance that made me nauseous. Now there is one. The FOV is also -actually- too high for me.

Are these things configurable somewhere?

The game looks pretty good otherwise.

yeah there is a fov slider in the menu ;) ... weapon bobbing etc ;)
Thanks, thats great to hear.
The FOV slider can only be moved in pretty large increments (74 down to 45 in one increment), but you can set it to anything you want in the cfg file.

The camera actually tilts when turning (it doesn't "bob"), and the weapon bob option doesn't affect it, only the weapon model. It doesn't look like there are any cfg or console options to disable any of the camera motion. It doesn't bother me, but I think it'd be nice if there was an option to disable it.
Ah yes, the camera tilts, thats the word I was looking for. Yeah, thats the biggest problem and if that can't be disabled, its actually a deal breaker. Maybe there's a console command for it?
To be honest I really like the camera tilt! Has anyone tried to turn it off to see if you can?
View bob and tilt options were just added to the Steam version. Presumably coming to GOG soon, too.

Interesting I have never applied an update to a GOG game, does it mean checking the library and then re downloading the game?

I think so, though I've never done it before, and now I'm using Galaxy.
it depends on the game how updates work ... i guess the devs decide how they do it

most of the time the main game is updated so that you got the newest build when you download it + there is an extra patch file to download in case you got an older version

system shock 2 for example got the main game + a 5mb universal patch you can download separately

pillars of eternity got the newest build if you download the full installer + there is a patch that you can apply if you got an older version installed

sometimes only the main game is updated and you have to download the full installer again

like i said i guess the devs decide how to do it ... but most of the time there is an extra file so that you dont have to download the whole thing again
Okay well the patch doesn't seem to be out yet which is a shame saying as steam got the patch. I am starting to think next time a game comes out on both steam and gog I should get the steam version which I don't what to do. =/
