So I'm at the spot in Level 3 where you press a floor switch and run along the wall to a gate that is blocking a teleporter. The problem is when I hit the switch, the gate is about halfway back up when it comes into view. It is impossible to make it in time. Great game guys, have to use a freaking flying cheat to get past a gate that in the vids on youtube I've seen, don't act like this.

Edit: Got past the section with the fly cheat. However, I hit the switch on the other side to see what would happen. I don't think that gate is supposed to be down for only 2 seconds (at most) before going back up again. Because as I said, it was impossible for me to make it in time.

It's possible. There's time to spare if you run diagonally for extra speed, but even without that trick there's still time to hop over it while it's on its way back up.

I counted 2 seconds or so to open, 2 before beginning to close, then another 2 or so to close.
It also helps to position yourself behind the switch before stepping on it so that you don't lose time turning around. In the end I just jumped over it while it was raising up, as Smoke39 said. You shouldn't even need to run diagonally

I notticed this too. But it's NOT impossible though. I made it on the third attempt.
It's probably the "speedup bug" on this new release that makes the game behave like this. Enemies are really fast too.

It's setting up for a real challenge though :D I kinda like that haha!
