Hello everyone,

I need help. I can't start Tropico 3. I already reinstalled but that doesn't change the fact that the game always tells me I need a grafic card which is compatible with Direct X9. The point is: My grafic card is compatible to Direct X9. So I don't know where the problem is and how to solve it. After trying to start the game I have to restart my hole PC because instead a mouse cursor I have a loading cursor and can't react.

Any leads?

Try re-installing DirectX 9 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

I can't install DirectX 9. It's saying I have a more actual version or I got errors. I saw now I have DirectX 11.
Try this - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
That also didn't work.
Ok, try this - One of the classic solutions is, if you are using Windows 7, to delete UserConfig2.lua file which can be found in the \appdata\roaming\tropico 3

For other possible solutions look in this thread -
